Who we are

Ultra Medical Services is a diagnostic imaging centre providing X-ray and ultrasound studies to patients and referring physicians in Kingston, Jamaica. We operate within Alma Jones Medical Centre, 119 Hagley Park Road, Kingston 11.

You can reach us with any question about this policy or your information at office@ultramedicalservices.com or by phone at (876) 305-6096.

What information we collect

From patients and referring doctors or clinics, we may collect:

  • Name of the patient and the referring doctor or clinic.
  • Contact details, including phone number and email address.
  • The clinical reason for the referral and the study requested, along with any relevant clinical history the referring physician chooses to share.
  • Images and reports produced as part of the diagnostic study.

We only collect information that is necessary to schedule, perform and report on the requested imaging study.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to:

  • Schedule and perform the requested imaging study.
  • Interpret the study and issue a report to the referring physician.
  • Contact the patient or referring practice about the appointment or results.
  • Maintain accurate medical records as required by Jamaican law and standard clinical practice.

Who it is shared with

Patient information is accessed only by our on-site radiologist and authorised Ultra Medical Services staff involved in performing the study and issuing the report. Reports are sent to the referring physician who requested the study.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Information may only be disclosed outside the practice where required by law or with your explicit consent.

How long we keep it and how it is stored

Patient records, images and reports are retained in line with Jamaican medical record-keeping requirements and accepted clinical practice, which generally means records are kept for a number of years after the last episode of care. Referral enquiries received through our website are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to schedule the study and follow up appropriately.

Information submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on secure, access-controlled systems. Access is restricted to authorised staff.

Accessing or correcting your information

Patients and referring doctors may request access to the information we hold about them, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date. To make a request, email office@ultramedicalservices.com or call us on (876) 305-6096. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
